Welcome to the Right’s Respecting area of our website.
We have been working very hard this year to put the principles of UNICEF’s United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) into our school culture and ethos. This is a legally-binding international agreement which protects the right of every child, regardless of their race, religion or ability. Everyone at Caslon promotes the rights of children by working together to improve our pupils well-being and develop their talents and abilities to their full potential. We have found ourselves on an exciting journey to educate our children to become Rights Respecting global citizens of the future. We now have our Recognition of Commitment, we were successful in achieving Level 1 in Autumn 2016. Please enjoy reading the documents at the bottom of the page to follow our journey so far…

Please take time to read them, and whenever you are in school take a look at the Rights Respecting School displays in the foyer and hall. Our Rights Respecting Ambassadors meet with representatives from our school community to discuss our important work and next steps – you will also be able to read the minutes from the meetings in the monthly updates.
