The Governors of Caslon Primary School are volunteers who, along with the Headteacher and staff, make decisions to improve and develop the school and ensure the school provides for all the pupils. Members of the Governing Body are made up of elected parents, members appointed by the Local Authority, co-opted governors, teacher representatives and the Headteacher. All members are elected for a period of four years.
Being a school governor is challenging and rewarding. Governors meet at least once per term, usually twice, as a full governing body. We also meet in smaller committees, focusing on Personnel, Finance and General Purpose and Curriculum. Committee meetings are held on a half termly basis. If you are interested in becoming a governor, please get in touch to find out how you can stand for election. The Co-Chair of Governors for 2018/2019 is Mrs Steph Sellers and Mr Mo Nasser, they can be contacted through the school.
