Caslon Primary Community School

Remote Learning at Caslon

We will be bringing the Y2-6 remote learning timetables in line with all classes being asked to start work at 8:45am. We will be asking teachers to provide remote learning activities until 12:00pm.

Break time will be 10:30-10:45am.
Lunch will be 12:00-12:45pm.

Our statutory duty is to provide learning activities for core subjects; English, Maths, Reading/phonics and Science. Anything above this is at the discretion of individual teachers. Those that do provide afternoon activities will begin doing so from 12:45pm.

Delivery of ‘live’ lessons is not part of a teacher’s statutory duty and teachers who are delivering these have made that choice personally where they feel their classes will respond well to this. As always, teachers will respond to messages on Class Dojo to support where they can and many are staying available through Google Meets to offer support and advice throughout each day. Again, this is at their discretion.

We do also understand that some parents may not be able to help their children to complete work during the day due to their own work commitments.

In those instances, please do your best to keep your child up-to-date with their work and ensure it is submitted as swiftly as possible.
